Polaris, also known as the North Star, is famed in antiquity for guiding travelers on their journey. At Polaris we aim to guide you on your dog training journey, offering support and solutions to all of your dog training problems while providing you with ethical and scientific training methods.
Darina has been training in her field since 2015, and is an accredited member of the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT), and registered on the UK Dog Training & Behaviour charter. Darina also holds OCN certifications in ‘Introductory to Canine behaviour’, and ‘Principles of Dog Training and Behaviour’. She is also a qualified blue level scent-dog instructor with the WSDA (World Scent Dog Association) and is a level one trial judge

Frequently Asked Questions
Where will the training take place?
The training sessions will take place in your home, or an pre-agreed upon location depending on the training needed.
Do I need specialised equipment to train?
Our recommended equipment is: a flat collar, a flat leash, harness, & a long line. We do not use any equipment that is designed to cause pain or suppress a behaviour.
Do you offer payment plans for training packages?
Yes! If you would like to pay for training in installments just let our trainer know at the booking stage and they can set you up with a payment plan
Is my dog too old for training?
No dog is ever too old for training! However for older dogs we want to look at how long the behaviour has been present and if there could be age related medical issues playing a part.
Will my dog need a vet check before training?
For our behaviour pacakges your dog will need a vet check. This check is for the welfare of your dog as medical conditions can influence the success of our training.
